Please come along to our practice sessions if you would like to learn Balboa. Experienced dancers will show you the basics and you will be welcome to join in the practice session.

Tara and Tim began organizing Balboa practice sessions at venues in the Melbourne suburb of Brunswick in 2017. Dancers of all levels, from beginner to advanced are welcome to come long to learn, improve and share.

These practice sessions provide an opportunity for people practice in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. The format is flexible with people encouraged to bring a topic, dance move or idea to work on. We discuss it and go over it. People then break into pairs to dance it, get feedback and advice from each other.

After a while we come back as a group to discuss how it went and if we discovered any variations.

The cost is kept low and covers the room hire and a small amount for a contingency fund. Currently $12.
